Design

Merkel Donohue is proud to have highly skilled design staff, which is able to support the needs of any size organization. Design services include facilities assessment and programming, design development, specification, working drawings, and project implementation. Our design process can be as exacting as our customers require. In some instances for relocations … a simple inventory of existing parts and a revised floor plan may be needed. In other cases clients may want to know how they can better leverage investments in facilities to better achieve their corporate objectives. Either way we’re capable of supporting our customers’ requirements.

Companies that are reengineering, cutting costs, bringing products to market more quickly or looking to get closer to the customer.... are looking for "better, faster, cheaper". Often the result is a more horizontal organizational structure. Businesses are creating multifunctional teams to develop products and services; project quality teams to improve and track processes; and departmental teams to improve communication and learning.

We can work directly with your builder/landlord to develop the perfect space for you or we can work with the Architectural firm of your choice to do as little or as much as you desire.

Refurbishing

If you own office furniture you’d like to give new life to, refurbishing is a great alternative. Extend the life of existing items or facilitate the disposal of unwanted furniture. Other services include furniture valuation, as well as coordination of sales to employees of excess furniture.

Cleaning

We are capable of providing cleaning for just carpets and upholstery or have the capacity to provide contract services on an ongoing basis.

Repair

We have a staff of furniture experts who can repair furniture from a long list of vendors.

Rental

Renting office furniture is a great option when your needs are temporary. If you are setting up an office to handle a seasonal upswing in workload or waiting for new furniture to arrive, renting may be the quick, flexible fix you’re looking for - Whether it’s a matter of weeks or several months.

Project Management

A discipline that follows the entirety of a project, from start to finish, ensuring a high quality end result. Project management coordination of the furniture installation process with the other project systems and trades to ensure a seamless integration and timely completion.

Moves & Relocations

We have considerable experience in moving from 1 to several hundred people in short periods of time. Our team leaders have upwards of 15 years of industry experience. We have all of the necessary equipment and planning skills to accomplish the most difficult relocations.

Leasing

Either short term rentals or lease to purchase. We can offer a plan that we accommodate any particular need.

Installation

Our Installation group has considerable experience in most of the major manufacturers. Names like Steelcase, Herman Miller & Haworth. In addition, we have the capability of performing levitation of furniture for carpet replacement, a process that saves considerable dollars for carpet replacement.

New Furnishings

We represent over 100 Furniture manufacturers. Including names such as Steelcase, Gunlocke, Brayton, Vecta, Harden and many others.

In addition, we are the exclusive Milliken Commercial Carpet distributor in the Rochester area.
